About this space
A stylish and comfortable boutique cinema space, the Studio is the best choice for a private screening, product launch, salon or intimate presentation, allowing you to create a memorable and personal event for your most valued guests.
Despite this being our smallest auditorium with a cosy capacity of 38 seats, you will not need to compromise on big-screen impact! All AV within the Studio is included as part of your hire fee, as is an in-house Technician and an Event Coordinator to ensure your event runs smoothly.
You can also brand your event to reflect your company colours through special lighting effects, we will work with you to make the space your own.
Events at the Studio can be booked with other inspirational social spaces within the BFI Southbank such as the Blue Room or the Riverfront restaurant and Balcony Bar, which provide the perfect venues for a pre- or post-event cocktail or reception.

The BFI Southbank offers 4 high-spec auditoria. Capacities range from an intimate Studio seating 38 to the 450-seater NFT1 auditorium that offers superb cinema projection, as well as mid-size auditoria seating 125 -138 that offer immensely flexible event spaces.
The auditorium spaces are perfect for hosting conferences, award ceremonies, screenings, company annual general meetings, product launches and project presentation spaces – especially if you are looking for the highest spec of audio-visual presentation – all of which are provided within the hire cost of the space.
We are also home to several versatile and stylish reception spaces, including an elegant restaurant and bar with views of the river Thames, which offer a great social space to host a welcome breakfast for delegates, an evening networking gathering, cocktail reception or staff Christmas gathering.
