FAQ for Venues
Frequently asked questions for venues
What is #tagvenue?
Tagvenue makes the jobs of venue managers easier. We want you to think of #tagvenue as a useful tool to manage and get bookings for your venue in an easy, fast and safe way. Our goal is to fill your calendar with hirings with very little effort from you.
From the moment you fill in your venue profile, you will start receiving traffic through our intelligent venue search engine, allowing a huge amount of clients to get in touch with you instantly. Soon you may start to receive their enquiries... then you’ll experience how easy it is to increase your hires.
Can I use #tagvenue from any device?
Yes, we designed #tagvenue from the ground up to be totally responsive. You can visit us from your desktop, smartphone or tablet.
How much does it cost?
We don’t charge any membership fees. Pretty great, right? When a client books your venue through our platform, you pay us a small fee of 10%. You only pay after the event has taken place and your client has paid for it.
What's the difference between a room and a venue?
Your venue may be full of wonderful rooms for hire, or may it only have one. We wanted to make it clear that your client can hire one room in your venue and not the entire place. If you hire some shared spaces, such as a foyer or a terrace, you should let your client know that as well. And remember: your venue information will be included in all your room profiles.
How should I fill my profile?
The more you polish it, the more enquiries you will get. You know your venue and the best way to show it off. Be accurate and honest. You should let everybody know what’s unique about your venue, but you don’t want to disappoint your clients! If you run out of inspiration, just check out what competitors in your area are doing, and add some high resolution photos that show off your venue, because sometimes an image is worth more than a thousand words.
Once you have all of this covered, we recommend that you update your profile whenever anything changes, and to keep it current. An accurate description reduces the chance of any unexpected surprises for your clients.
What if I want to avoid certain kinds of events in particular?
For those events you don’t want to cater for we have an allowed events list. If you can’t find it in the list you can fill in the box below that list as well. When providing information about your rooms, don’t forget the uses section, where you will able to tag what kind of events you are interested in.
As you can see, there are lots of ways to tell your clients what you want and what you don’t want to take place at your venue.
How do I publish my profile?
After filling in all the information needed to make your place look great, you’ll see that your profile has an unpublished status. Click on that and wait for our approval email. We will publish your profile for you as soon as we can.
How do I calculate the price?
There are various ways you can calculate your price. Hire fee, which is a dry hire of your venue for the time in question; package per person, which is priced per person, so the more people, the greater the hire price, and minimum spend, which is a price you set that your customer has to spend at the bar - if they spend less, they make up the difference in a hire fee. Remember to add VAT (if applicable).
When should I answer my clients’ enquiries?
As soon as you can. Try to make things easy for your clients, and remember that there are a bunch of competitors around waiting for the clients you didn’t answer in time.
Can I receive any feedback from my clients?
Your clients have the chance to write a public review about your venue and room. Later on many other users will check those reviews before sending their enquiries, so do your best as a host so that your clients will tell other users how happy they were with you. Your old clients will help you to get new ones for your rooms!
