Event Venues for Hire in Clerkenwell, London

I booked the upstairs space for a surprise party to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. It was absolutely perfect!! The venue is gorgeous! Huge windows and great decor which created a lovely atmosphere. The photos on the site don’t do the space justice and I was pleasantly surprised when I visited it in person. All the guests kept saying how awesome the venue was. I had been worried that the venue would be too big for a party of 40 people but it worked out great. Benny (Venue Manager) was very helpful and responsive. She guided me through menu and drinks packages to suit my budget and requirements and they worked out really well on the day. She also created a special bar menu which was personalised for the birthday boy that both looked nice and served the purpose of limiting the bar tab from a practical perspective. On the night, the food and drinks were lovely. Pre-ordered drinks and food were laid out stylishly to welcome the guests and the drinks at the bar especially the cocktails were delicious. The portion sizes for the finger food buffet was great - good mixture of pizzas, sliders, kebabs, calzones, arancini and other tasty things and there was plenty of it. People kept complimenting the food particularly the sliders and it was great how it was being freshly made and refilled from the kitchen regularly. The staff on the night were all really lovely and helpful. Gui (the bar manager on the night) made sure everything ran like clockwork and also gave good recommendations to help ensure the surprise went smoothly. All the staff were great and also helped in cutting the three tier cake we had bought and gave us candles (as I forgot them). The location is very convenient for a party as it’s only 5 mins from Farringdon station so easy for people to get to. I didn’t use the music system so can’t comment on that but we were happy enough with the background music and chatter. At the end of the night I was a little below minimum spend and we simply agreed that I would take home bottles of wine to the value of the difference. It felt like excellent value for a great night with brilliant food and drinks.

I would definitely recommend this venue for recording video content. Luka and Kerim are lovely hosts. The house is absolutely gorgeous and a stunning backdrop for photoshoots/filming. A great location in central London. Thanks so much

All the staff were extremely helpful. Loved the venue and the food! Benny was very helpful and quick to respond all the way to the lead up of the event.

I was lucky to be able to hire the entire vemue, this made my guests very comfortable. The venue was very spacious and the staff was impecable and very helpful. I was able to decorate the venue how ever i wanted. The food was delicous and enjoyed by all. The location of the venue was 4 min walk from the tube so was very accessible.

Everything! The pub is perfect for a casual get together. Every request I had in the lead up to the event was answered really promptly and nothing was too much trouble. We were given a great space in the back room and all the guests commented what a good venue it was. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Wonderful service all night from the team at the Crown, they made us feel very welcome and made our engagement party feel very special. The room is lovely, the gold wall-paper looked amazing in the candlelight. We pre-ordered prosecco and sharing platters which went down a storm! Good location close to Farringdon tube.

All staff very friendly and helpful, on email, phone and in person (special thanks to Henry and Austin). Layout of venue perfect if some people want to drink/chat and others want to dance the night away. Lightning and music volume can be adjusted separately for each area. Food was excellent and very generously portioned.

There was a mix up in bookings, but Matt was great at trying to move things around and ensure we still had a great time. The room itself is fantastic, a lot of space and beautiful surroundings. The staff were really helpful as well. Drinks were well priced and a lot of different choices on offer that day.
