We held our wedding celebration party here two weeks ago and it was fabulous! Siobhan was very helpful and relaxed throughout the planning, and the staff were absolutely brilliant on the evening. Everything ran smoothly and without a hitch. Drinks were great, and we were able to bring in Yard Sale pizza and our own homemade tiramisu. All our guests loved the venue!
Communication and details on what could be done and step but step on everything surrounding the studio/event was superb. Down to parking and loading bay info, they made sure I was aware of how things worked. Staff were to friendly and helpful. SPECIAL THANKS to Emma, Melanie, Verity and sorry another guy that helped us out on Friday (sorry I can’t remember his name) but he was so helpful too with carrying our stuff as well. Honestly they helped out as much as they could and were just lovely overall. I believe our guest enjoyed and event went smoothly because everything was in place beforehand. The venue is very cool, a hidden gem and perfect for my birthday party! Numma the manager was responsive to any queries and very helpful. The staff on the door and the bar were great. We had a fantastic evening. We brought our own food and could use the kitchen which was very useful. My guests loved the venue, it is very unexpected when you walk through the door!
Held my birthday party here and the night didn’t exactly end well, but I want to be super honest in my review. The venue itself is lovely - clean, nicely decorated, and a great spot if you have a large group. The staff were generally very friendly and helpful during the event itself. They operate using a minimum spend policy, which becomes a hiring fee if not met, this is something to keep in mind but I’d generally not an issue if you have a large enough group.
My husband, Sam, and I would 100% recommend The Roost for any future weddings! The venue is unlike any other we’ve been to before. It is unique, creative, and full of character, which made our day truly special. The Venue The Roost is ideal for couples who are a bit quirky, down to earth, and love a rustic, eclectic setting. As it’s primarily a photography studio, every corner offers an amazing photo opportunity, from vintage furniture to beautiful natural light. Our Day I got ready on the 2nd floor in a stunning room filled with character, complete with vintage bedroom furniture and an ensuite bath, perfect for those fairytale “getting ready” photos! Our ceremony took place on the 1st floor in the smaller room with just 24 guests, creating an intimate and personal atmosphere. We then moved into the adjoining larger room for our wedding breakfast, followed by our evening reception on the ground floor where our other guests joined us. It was the perfect space for our 90 guests, even with room for my cousin to play a few acoustic songs and plenty of space for everyone to dance! Later, we headed down to the basement where our DJ was set up, that’s where we had our first dance and partied the night away. The Team We honestly couldn’t have done it without Steph and Dave. Steph set up our initial call, handled all the booking details, admin, and invoicing. She kindly contacted our catering team to make sure everything was set up for the day and all legal documents were confirmed. While Dave managed everything on-site. He showed us around beforehand and was there on the day to help with anything we needed. Both were absolutely amazing - super friendly, professional, and so easy to work with. A Little Tip The venue doesn’t allow confetti (understandably, since it’s tricky to clean), but we chose bubble guns instead, and we’re so glad we did! The photos turned out incredible. We had a themed event for mums 70th birthday on Saturday 4th October 2025 and the venue Louie’s at the Red Dog Saloon in Hoxton was fantastic. Mark responded to all my many enquiries straight away and arranged and accommodated all the visits leading up to hiring the venue. The staff were all fantastic that we meet and so accommodating and helpful. All the staff worked so hard on the night as well as the lead up to make it such a memorable and special night for my mum and we can’t thank them all enough. We had so many compliments from are guests saying what a fantastic venue it was and how good the food was. Would highly recommend this venue and would definitely hold another event here in the future. Thank you once again to all the amazing staff at this venue.
I had my wedding after-party at this lovely venue, and it was an amazing experience. Jacob was incredibly helpful, assisting us with everything we needed, and the communication throughout was excellent. If I host another party in the future, I’ll definitely consider booking here again. Highly recommended!
The venue itself is really cool. Excellent drinks selection. Some food options but they'll let you bring your own catering and were really relaxed about it with v few restrictions, which was perfect for us. The staff are so lovely, helpful, professional - could not rate them more highly. Definitely recommend for a party.
