Got a birthday or a special occasion coming up and looking for the ultimate party room? You really don’t need to look any further. Queen of Hoxton’s brand new Discotheque comes equipped with its very own bar, DJ booth and light-up, infinity dance floor suitable for up to 100 guests. We can already see those lit Instagram party pics.

Available all week; including weekends. Minimum booking 50; maximum 100. Party food available to pre-order.

Rules of the space

Age policy: Guests under 18 are not allowed

We have 3 floors in the venue, but due to noise restrictions we are required to close the roof terrace at 10pm. Guests tend to head to the ground floor or the basement nightclub at this point!

- The room was perfect for my group size and the atmosphere I was trying to create. The disco dancefloor was so fun. - The staff (manager, bar staff, name-checkers, and security) were all really friendly and professional - The events booking team were really helpful in getting everything organised for me.

-Catering was very overpriced. The only real criticism I have of the entire experience. - In the days leading up to the event, it could sometimes be difficult to get hold of anyone in the events team. I'm not sure what their office/phone hours are but it would be helpful if they were displayed on the website.

Great Dj and fun dancefloor. The food was tasty but poorly set up. The manager came down and apologised and gave us complimentary prosecco. The manager did get things running smoother when she arrived.

When we arrived they were not ready for us and made us wait 40 minutes upstairs. The bouncers were very rude. Only one bar staff and all the pumps were out of action. Therefore guests had to keep going upstairs to get drinks. I am due back money for meeting the minimum spend and hope that they have taken this into account. They asked for a guest list but by the end they started letting in strangers. So many rules yet they did not stick to them.

The venue was really fun and perfectly suited to a birthday party ! Considering the location and that it can hold up to 100 people it is super good value for money. The light up floor has been replaced since the photographs were taken but I think it's even better now and definitely the main attraction of the room. My first point of contact was Audrey, who answered all my many questions in a timely fashion and gave me all the information I needed. They were also really helpful in setting up a venue visit beforehand and had a phone call with me beforehand so I felt very prepared and calm ahead of the party. On the actual night, all the staff were really lovely and accommodating (with the exception of the bouncer). They let my friends and I come early to set up with decoration and provided all the things we needed. The manager and host both met with us beforehand and were really nice and on hand to give all the help we required. We also had someone on the Room 2 door who did an incredible job of making sure only people on the guest list came into the party. We also had our own bar staff who were also great. As a whole, I would definitely recommend this venue!

All the staff were really lovely, with the exception of the bouncer on the door of the main club who was extremely rude when we were trying to ask whether we had to queue as I had booked a private event and we already had our wristbands as we'd all been at the venue earlier that evening to decorate. He wouldn't even let us explain the situation and just repeatedly cut us off telling us to go queue with everyone else and that he didn't care as we didn't have stamps. A few of my other guests said they were faced with similar rudeness from the same bouncer when asking what they have to do as they're here for a private here. This was a shame as he was the first contact for everyone arriving at the party. The other door people who were giving stamps/at the front desk were very nice though. There were also a couple issues surrounding miscommunication on the night. For example, I was told by two members of staff on the night and by the person who had shown me around the venue a few weeks before that I could leave my decorations and come and collect them on Monday. However, after the club was shutting and I had already left a different member of staff told my partner as she was leaving that they were going to be throwing away all the decorations. She and two of my friends who hadn't left the club yet then had a massive scramble to try and quickly get all the decorations I wanted to take home. As the club was shut and I was stood outside they wouldn't let me back in so I couldn't help them. If we hadn't been told multiple times that we could leave the decorations we would have spent time getting it all sorted before the club was shut. There were decorations and things that were missing that I didn't get to take home as a result. I was also told by Audrey that I could keep my fridge in the cake from 17:00 when we arrived to decorate but on the night we were told there was no space in the fridge so I wasn't able to. I was also told that I could play music via my phone but not that I would need an aux converter. We spoke to the host about this and they said they'd sent the sound technician to help us but he never came. After 20 mins I asked again and they said he'd be down right away but he never showed up. Thankfully we asked all the guests and someone had a Samsung phone which we could plug the AUX cable directly into but it meant that my DJ had to play for 35 minutes longer than planned whilst we figured this out. We also asked a knife to cut the cake multiple times and the bar man did request for this to be brought down multiple times but it took over an hour. The manager did apologies for this though and explained it was a v busy night. These things were frustrating but only minor logistical/communication errors that thankful didn't take away from a really great night.
