About this space

The Uptown Room at Barrio Shoreditch is perfect for private events and parties and is available for evening hire every day of the week!

Uptown room can hold up to 100 guests and is the perfect space for all kinds of parties, work functions, celebrations and team away days. If you have more than 100 guests, we can offer part of our outside space to extend the capacity up to 150; great for the Summer time!

This room has folding doors which means you can make the room completely private or you can have the doors open to still feel the vibe of the main venue! This room comes equipped with a projection screen and projector, a wireless microphone, your own private bar and bartenders and a separate sound channel to control your own volume - Everything you need to have a fantastic time!

We have previously hosted wrap parties, celebrations, work functions, presentations, award ceremonies and parties just because!

There is no hire fee but a minimum spend applies which is fully redeemable against food and drink. Your guests can choose from the varied and delicious cocktail menu or we can offer a limited menu to suit your requirements.

Staff were really helpful and tried to make it as memorable as possible.
Lack of clarity on bar tab, they didn’t have adequate music set up and we had to deliveroo right cable, only one person behind our bar

The venue was good the staff were very friendly and helpful the Manager and Brittany were amazing and helped to make the evening run smooth.
I only have one bad points one of security guards at closing time was a little rude. I was trying to get all equipment and bits together which we bought. I had to leave some decorations behind because of this. We sorted in the end as I explained I was 57 yrs old and the mum and he could have asked me to gather the party guests up without the rudeness and not use the approach he did. I do understand he wanted to go home and he probably has trouble with some guests, but it could have gone another way.

Very poor communication
Our experience with Barrio’s communication left much to be desired. The tone felt dismissive and unfriendly, lacking the warmth and professionalism we expected. Despite our enthusiasm to host an event there, we received conflicting information from their messaging and website, leading to unnecessary confusion and a frustrating five-day wait for clarification. Clear, respectful, and responsive communication is key in hospitality, and unfortunately, this was an area where significant improvement is needed.
