Can you give some tips for finding the ideal party venue?

Sure! Here are our top 5 tips that will definitely help you find the perfect venue in East London!

  1. Set a budget - Take some time to determine how much you can pay for the whole event. Once you nail down the numbers, it’ll be much easier for you to decide if the particular venue falls within your price range.
  2. Make a guest list - Even an estimated number of guests will help you decide if the venue that has caught your eye will accommodate everyone. A comfortable space really is key to a successful event as it will help each of your guests to relax. If you pick a space that is too small, your guests may feel as if they were squashed in like sardines. And we’re more than sure that is something you’d like to avoid!
  3. Determine the party style - A cocktail party, a sit-down dinner or a mix of both? Settling on  a style will give you an idea of what type of space you should look for. And this will make the venue search much easier and quicker!
  4. Consider the location - Make sure that the venue that you book is easily accessible via public transportation and car. Your guests will appreciate the fact that they don’t have to spend hours reaching the venue and will be happier to come.
  5. Compare different offers - Don’t settle for the first offer that you get. Try to send enquiries to at least two venues, so that you can compare the offers and pick the one that works best for your budget.

How far in advance should I book a party venue in East London?

As soon as you can! Generally, we recommend booking your first-choice option around 3 months in advance. This way, you’ll have the guarantee of the best price and you will be able to plan the whole party without any fuss. If you’re planning the party on the spot, you can find great deals up to 2 weeks in advance on our platform.

Booked Secret Bar at Looking Glass Cocktail Club
Had a fantastic night, celebrating my birthday. Massive thank you to Tamara & William for turning everything around so quickly (after being let down by another venue at the last minute!)....Turned out to be an advantage for me, having my own late night, secret bar with amazing staff. Will definitely come back again to have a shot or 2 with Olesia (fab girl).

Booked Riverside Rooftop at Barge East
I had my birthday with 40 people at barge east and it was amazing! From the beginning the communication was so quick and helpful. The space itself was beautiful, great view and a very private spot. Despite it being end of November it was cozy and the staff made sure of it by setting up blankets and a hot water bottle station before we arrived. I couldn’t be happier and would definitely recommend to everyone to have an event here

Lucy was really helpful throughout the booking process which made planning very easy. The staff on the night were friendly and accommodating of our needs and the space was a really good size. Post-event the team were really helpful with some lost property enquiries. I would recommend this venue if you are thinking of hosting a special occasion in Greenwich.
