Your own beautiful private drawing room

We all love a bit of exclusivity now and again and Pennethorne’s beautiful Drawing Room is the perfect private space for intimate get-togethers. Situated opposite the main café bar, the Drawing Room is available for private groups of up to 30 with exclusive and bespoke menus available.

Our artisan menu has been carefully selected by the head chef, with each dish representing one of the exciting destinations that Sir James Pennethorne visited on the Grand Tour. Booking for minimum 10 people, maximum 40 people.

Located in the newly refurbished New Wing of Somerset House and taking its name from Sir James Pennethorne, the 19th century English architect who designed the New Wing, Pennethorne's bar is now open.

Pennethorne’s emerges onto the London bar scene with an impressive array of wonderful, exotic and mouth-wateringly delicious cocktails. Pennethorne’s have reinvented post-work drinks in their central, Somerset House location by also serving delicious food pairings which beautifully compliment the exciting new bar offering. Pennethorne’s offers stunning interiors for evening drinks and outside seating to while away the long summer nights in style.

Pennethorne’s is open Monday to Saturday for breakfast through to dinner.
