Hen Party Activities Hire Guide

Planning must-have activities and trying to blend a mix of friends, aunties and long-lost second cousins, all while keeping the bride happy, can feel a little overwhelming. But don’t stress. Here at Tagvenue we’ve rounded up the city’s best hen party night ideas, from luxurious Thames river boats to next-level cocktail masterclasses. Popular hen party ideas include:

Food and drink:

Some of the best hen parties in London are centred around delicious food and drinks. Cooking classes, cocktail masterclasses, tea parties, and pub crawls are all popular selections. For a more bespoke cocktail making experience, check out the special hen party package at Embargo Republica, where you can sample the bar’s awesome range of different cocktails, before being challenged to make your own.

We know hen parties can be a chore to organise, so why not go on an organised hen party pub crawl, where you’ll be taken to a variety of bars around London and enjoy free entry, drinks, private areas, photo-booths, and accessories. If you’d like to hold a more relaxed affair, then there’s also the option of enjoying a delicious afternoon tea, with decorated tables, chandeliers, and a whole range of delicious sandwiches, cakes and fancies served on vintage china platters.

Private parties:

On a night as special as this, you may want to party in your own private space, which are easily found in London. For all lovers of karaoke, rent out your own private room and take your pick from over 16,000 songs, order drinks from your own private bar, and sample a range of delicious tapas. For an epic night full of great food, drinks, and live music and dancing, Shaka Zulu will organise party packages to fit your needs exactly, with loads of added extras, as well as your own private space within the venue.

For something more unique, take a look at a VIP bus service that will make for an unforgettable hen weekend. The double-decker bus will whisk you around all corners of London city centre while handing out complimentary champagne and cocktails and pumping tunes of your choice from its inbuilt DJ booth. If you’re hitting the waters, you can command your own small boat and explore London’s canal network with a delicious picnic and free choice of alcoholic beverages (not for the driver!)

Looking for more non-traditional hen party ideas? How about giving some sports a try? Across London, there are some great activities to get you moving, including dance, bowling, and various ball games. A special workshop at the London Dance Academy will take you through decades of dances and let you choose your own playlist to get loose too. If you prefer team competition, you can always hire out your own court and engage in a game of football, netball, or basketball that will set pulses racing in advance of the big night.

Chilled-out activities:

Looking for hen party ideas that suit a more relaxed crowd or bridal shower? Rachel’s Nails & Coffee is an exclusive nail bar where you can treat yourself to a pampering session in private and peaceful surroundings. Alternatively, if you’d like to watch your favourite films in trendy and ambient surroundings, Whirled Cinema is the perfect place to do so, giving you a number of flexible time-slots, as well as providing catering and drinks.

Hen weekend/hen party abroad:

Book a stylish or unique hotel and make a weekend of it! Spa weekend is also a popular option. Is there anything better than an indulgent pamper session with your BFFs?

Booked Private dining room at Ninth Ward London
Venue was perfect for hen do (and a stripper), staff were very accommodating, room was stunning especially after we added some decorations. Easy to get to, we were left undisturbed and were able to play our own music (personal speaker). The price was shockingly cheap - just perfect!
Booked Cosy & Stylish Loft in Dalston at Dalston Cosy & Stylish Loft
Marco service is simply amazing! He answered my multiple queries and phone calls within the hour and always accommodated any last minute queries, even at 12am in the morning. The venue is private, vintage type styled venue in a great location, providing us with the keys was a plus as we were able to come and go as we pleased. Marco, I sincerely thank you again, for allowing my friends and I too use your venue you were extremely accommodating even when our stripper ran late you very kindly allowed us to stay a little longer without any problems.

The layout of the venue was really versatile and adaptable for our needs. We hosted a hen party with a wine tasting and a glitter make up artist within the space. Having access to all the glasses was really good too. Location was fab The member of staff who met us (Sorry i cant remember his name!) was really helpful and helped me set up the youtube for the Mr and Mrs game.

Amazing The Hen actually cried with happiness when she seen it. Elizabeth was amazing she always answered any questions I had straight away. It was perfect. There was 17 of us in total and plenty of room to dance. The speaker was loud and sounded great. It was definitely the highlight of the Hen.
