Extremely Disappointing Experience – Poor Communication and Rude Staff We recently hosted our 30th birthday party at this rooftop bar in London, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The main issue was the complete lack of clear communication around the minimum spend. We were assured several times before and during the night that the team would keep us updated on our running total and make it clear what was left to spend. However, this did not happen. Updates were rare and, when given, were inconsistent and confusing — the amounts kept changing, sometimes going up and down inexplicably. At one point, we were even told our minimum spend had been cleared, only to be told later that it hadn’t been, and that a significant amount was still outstanding. At the end of the night, this led to a heated and unpleasant discussion where several of us tried to make sense of the numbers being presented, none of which added up. The staff member handling it was rude, condescending, and unhelpful, and it honestly felt as though he was trying to confuse us on purpose rather than assist in resolving the issue. We were also told prior to the event that if the bar became busy, an additional staff member would be brought in to help serve. This never happened. The service was incredibly slow, with long wait times for drinks throughout the night. This not only caused frustration for our guests but likely contributed to us struggling to meet the minimum spend in the first place, as people simply couldn’t get served in a reasonable time. Additionally, the woman managing the room and working behind the bar was unfriendly and dismissive, which added to the overall unpleasant atmosphere. Overall, I would strongly advise against booking this venue for any private event. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and rudeness of the staff completely ruined what should have been a special and memorable evening. I left feeling extremely disappointed and upset, and I would not recommend this bar to anyone looking for an event space in London.
