Bridge at The Tattershall Castle

Fantastic location. The Bridge was the perfect size for our group (25). Plenty of room to mingle with space but still felt cosy. Clean, the food was a good pub-grub buffet and there was plenty of it. Staff were all helpful and a special shout out to Lucy who made everything smooth running.

The downside to a glorious sunny day was that it was very hot in there. We all used papers we had as fans.

- Location was amazing (directly opposite the London eye and next to the Houses of Parliament) so pretty at night! - Food was 10/10 and there was a large quantity for not too much - Music technician was very helpful and kind

- Waitress service was appalling, not sure if it was the lady’s first day but she was useless and kept charging my friends when I had a tab behind the bar - Waitress was meant to pour Prosecco but she did not do this and my mother and I had to go around doing this - Plates were not cleared away after food and again my mother and I had to clear them and keep reminding the waiting staff to take them away - Venue needs to fix its air conditioning, my party was on a very hot day and the windows don’t open and the AC was not working properly, was very frustrating!

Great venue and view, and Anthony the events manager was really helpful and accommodating. The club downstairs was also quite a fun way to end the evening.

Drinks situation was complicated - prepaid drinks were fine but for people who wanted a drink that hadn’t been bought as a package, they needed to either have a prepaid token or pay cash. The bar tender didn’t really know what the rules were, meaning that it was all a bit all over the place and nobody knew what they were supposed to do. The event also lacked someone who could actively offer people drinks, and the barman didn’t really pre empt anything, meaning that I did most of the work whilst he was stood behind the bar. Food also wasn’t enough and was very basic. To top it off, after spending £2000+ alone myself (not including what my guests spent), the venue told me they were keeping some of my deposit because I hadn’t reached the £1500 minimum spend, despite being well over and providing proof.
