The Old Bailey is a historic courthouse whose character comes from its role as the principal criminal court, featuring ceremonial institutional architecture and traditional judicial fittings.
Venue highlights: The Old Bailey's hire support includes in‑house catering able to provide halal, kosher, vegan and gluten‑free menus. The building provides lift access to all floors to assist guest movement during events. Formal security and ID procedures apply to hires, and photography is restricted in sensitive interior areas; the venue can accommodate promoted or ticketed events under its operating framework.
Best for: Formal dinners, corporate receptions and ticketed lectures or heritage talks.
Location: The City of London places the venue amid legal and civic institutions, which provides a relevant context for events connected to law, governance or professional bodies.
