Incredibly helpful and friendly staff, can't fault them at all, bent over backwards to help.
If you are having a party with dancing, bring your own speakers/PA. The house speakers are for background noise only and not loud enough - wish I'd have known this before. The playlist also had to be run from an inaccessible office in the cellar which meant changing/stopping on the fly was impossible. Drink prices are a bit pricey (not all, but most), even for Central London.
The bar staff were very friendly and nice and were very generous in offering us drinks since a lot of people cancelled and I had to pay the rest of the minimum payment . they also accommodated a lot of our Requests
Lovely pub, good location and a perfect size for my birthday (40-50 people, could take more). Service was excellent, bar manager/staff were really helpful and friendly throughout. They helped to maintain a good atmosphere by adjusting lights and music volume as the evening went on. They really helped to make the evening go well. Good range of beers on tap and in bottles. Good range of spirits. Overall a really enjoyable evening.
Food was generally good but a little overpriced for what it was. Tempura was a little soft.
About The Hat and Tun
We are laid out over one ground floor with oak panelling, taxidermy and a cosy real log fire place. The whole venue can sit 40 people or 100 people for a standing reception and it’s the ideal venue for an intimate wedding reception
