I cannot recommend this place enough. We threw a casual engagement party with friends and family and everyone commented what a nice pub/bar it was. The service was friendly and the pizza was incredible. Thank you so much for such an easy and enjoyable experience.
We had a brilliant experience - the team were mega friendly and accomodating (i.e. the kitchen was closed by the time we got there, so they allowed us to order pizzas in). We also didnt have to pay any hire fee or minimum spend, just a refundable deposit. Could reccomend this place enough, thanks so much team!
Lovely relaxed venue conveniently tucked away a short walk from Angel or Kings X. It's somehow both spacious and cosy, with a great array of beers and ales. Communication was good and service on the day was warm, welcoming and professional. The catering was also great for the most part with the pizzas excellent! Thanks very much to Nick and the team.
The hot tap in the men's bathroom! The mozzarella/arancini platters aren't as interesting as the fresh pizza but good for nibbles.
Lovely staff! Perfect aesthetic room with convenient outdoor space and separate entrance. Wonderful time!

Located in the neo Georgian splendour of 68 Amwell Street, The George and Monkey offers the discerning a refined watering hole with all the comforts of home. That is, of course, if your home is furnished with an exemplary gin menu, the finest of craft beer, oodles of wine, sun bathed outdoor space, attentive staff, convivial company and a roaring hot pizza oven. Mine is!
