Nick and team made our engagement party absolutely perfect. Everything went smoothly, and that was mostly down to how wonderful the George & Monkey and the staff were - this is the ideal place for a gathering of friends, family or colleagues to celebrate your occasions. Hugely recommended.
Nick was incredibly accommodating. He helped me get my head around the venue size, understanding when strikes reduced our numbers, and was really friendly when we arrived. There was a great beer selection and lovely pizza.
The disabled bathroom happens to mean going into the ladies currently (which isn't ideal). However, Nick was aware of this and intending to act on it, so not a major issue.
The team at The George and Monkey were very helpful in booking and preparing for my event and were also very friendly on the night ensuring that we had everything we needed to enjoy our night. The pub is well located with it being within walking distance to Angel, Kings Cross and Farringdon station. The bar room was as described - The bar room! Having a private space that was still within the pub and not a separate room (which a lot of other pubs offer) meant we remained in the main area with the pub atmosphere and could very easily get drinks. The pizzas were also very tasty. Thanks G&M team!
Had a great night at this fantastic pub for my 30th last night. Staff were amazing and quick with the service. The bar room was brilliant and the pizzas that were ordered were spoken of very highly. Thank you so much!

As I assume you are here for information let me tell you a few things about my fine hostelry. Located in the neo Georgian splendour of 68 Amwell Street, The George and Monkey offers the discerning a refined watering hole with all the comforts of home. That is, of course, if your home is furnished with an exemplary gin menu, the finest of craft beer, oodles of wine, sun bathed outdoor space, attentive staff, convivial company and a roaring hot pizza oven. Mine is!
