I booked a private dining room at L’Escargot, the Green room, we were a large group of friends on a Saturday evening. We had a wonderful time, from start to finish was absolutely fantastic. The food was outstanding, the smoked salmon for starter was delicious - the ideal starter, followed by the rack of lamb which was cooked to perfection, absolutely stunning served with the potato dauphinoise and all finished off with Crème brûlée. Our waiter David was excellent, he was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. The table was set beautifully, the room with its chandeliers and period features a great setting for a banquet. The atmosphere was relaxed, comfortable and private with a sense of autonomy. We were able to play our own music and even add some of our own decorations and accessories to the table setting. Our drinks were ready on arrival, everything was seamless from start to finish. I would highly recommend L’Escargot, I’ve eaten a few times in the restaurant and now as a large group in a private dining room and every time has been a great experience. I will certainly be back. Thank you everyone at L’Escargot!

Hired the blue room for a celebratory dinner. Room was very comfortable, and nicely decorated. Medi provided excellent service. Food was delicious. Everything went perfectly and our guests were all very happy. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
I only have two minor observations. The Camembert canapés were not very successful as finger food as they were very soft and messy to eat. We had a bit of a delay between starter and main which of itself was not a problem at all but when some of our guests started to leave for trains at 1030 and we hadn’t had the cheese course we realised that the overall timing had been impacted. I think most people managed to stay for coffee etc but that part of the evening became a bit rushed.

Le Salon Vert is the most elegant and enchanting room, with 16th-century gold encrusted ceiling and mirror, look below to the streets of Soho with a glass of our Laurent Perrier Champagne in hand.
