I booked a private dining room at L’Escargot, the Green room, we were a large group of friends on a Saturday evening. We had a wonderful time, from start to finish was absolutely fantastic.
The food was outstanding, the smoked salmon for starter was delicious - the ideal starter, followed by the rack of lamb which was cooked to perfection, absolutely stunning served with the potato dauphinoise and all finished off with Crème brûlée.
Our waiter David was excellent, he was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. The table was set beautifully, the room with its chandeliers and period features a great setting for a banquet. The atmosphere was relaxed, comfortable and private with a sense of autonomy. We were able to play our own music and even add some of our own decorations and accessories to the table setting. Our drinks were ready on arrival, everything was seamless from start to finish.
I would highly recommend L’Escargot, I’ve eaten a few times in the restaurant and now as a large group in a private dining room and every time has been a great experience. I will certainly be back.

Perfect venue for a birthday dinner (we were a group of 29). I hired both the dining room and the room upstairs for welcome drinks / post-dinner drinks - everything was perfect, service was great and Mattia was fantastic - easy communication, everything was as pre-agreed etc. Mattia was also very helpful in advising on menu changes for guests who were pregnant. The food and drinks were great too.
I just wish we could have stayed longer as we were having a great time and midnight came too soon. Also I ended up hiring speakers - it would have been helpful if there was a sound system already available at the venue.

Charming venue and staff!! Cannot recommend enough. We were a last minute surprise party and Mattia and team were gorgeous and helpful to us and made us feel so welcome and looked after. The food was DELICIOUS. I would have every party here if possible. 10/10 everyone must go to L'Escargot.
more mood lighting would be nice. But we loved it all x

No. The dining room cannot be changed once it has been prepared for dinner, which is why the Snail Bar is offered as an alternative.
No, à la carte dining is not available for private dining. Set menus are individually plated rather than served as sharing menus.
