Location was easy to get to.
The fruitbox room was extremely hot as AC wasn't working. Definitely needs to be looked into as this goes against the HSE regulations in the U.K.
Excellent venue, the staff were so helpful. Great DJ, everyone was dancing and generally having a great time!
The place could do with a deep clean and tidy up, but I guess that's every bar/club in England!
Great venue, staff and dance floor was a hit. Especially with ability to play our own music.
The room was very hot, air con or more fans would've been useful.
Central location. Great pricing for drinks (happy hour until 2100). Only a minimum spend required and the venue is free. Venue looked quite quirky and cool. Nighclub ish atmosphere in a private space.
Appaling attitude by staff and managers. Ruined the night. Drink service was very slow with only one barman on duty at one point. The bar staff were complaining that they werent really qualified to make cocktails. Took 2 hours before they served the first cocktail ! Booked the venue via tag venue and the service from tag venue was great. Turned up at the booking time. The room wasn't set up so we walked up to the room and sat down. When we were in the room (booked for 50 on the booking) there were only a few chairs. When we asked for more the staff made it very clear that they didn't want to bring more in (rest of the entire venue was empty). We then looked at the menu and ordered some cocktails (which were discussed on the booking and listed numerous times on the website). We were then told that they weren't doing cocktails (my booking was for a cocktail party) and when we pointed to the menu showing the cocktails that they'd put on our tables they removed the menus. Cue a bit of a discussion with their management and they reluctantly started getting cocktail kit sent up. This took over 2 hours before anyone was served a cocktail. I was extremely unhappy about this and had told the rest of my party to wait and not to arrive due to the issues presented. I naturally expected them to reduce the minimum spend (as theyd ruined the party atmosphere and also weren't letting us buy drinks) but they initially refused to do this and only offered some champagne and a few free cocktails. They were very hostile with this and made it clear they did not feel they were to blame. After them passing my complaint onto another manager they agreed to reduce the minimum spend by 200 and bring some cocktails and champagne. The champagne arrived but the cocktails did not. After making a further complaint they reduced the minimum spend by 100 pounds after admitting no free cocktails were provided. The night had already been ruined by this point. Most of our party had decided to not attend and so we were in danger of not hitting our minimum spend. We were happy for a small number of the public to come in and use the corner of the bar area to order but they quickly placed a bouncer on the door who appeared to have been instructed to not let anyone in so that they could charge us for not hitting a minimum spend. When discussing this with the bouncer who had been put on our door inside the club (which felt odd in itself) he refused to communicate with us and started turning more people away. We were then forced to stay in the venue to try to hit the minimum spend. As we left it became apparent they were then going to open it up to the public anyway. I wish they had just done this 2 hours before so we could have left for a nicer venue. I spent most of the night having to argue with members of staff and it ruined the night for me. I won't be going there again.
