The venue is beautiful. Clean and well decorated.
The location is fab, tucked away from too much hustle and bustle but convenient to stations.
Lovely outdoor area.
11pm cut off and not told we had the ability to apply for a potential extension.
Private event but before 10pm kept getting told by managers to lower DJ volume.
Does get pretty warm in the venue even with the aircon “full blast”

Honestly, not much.
A lot of what was agreed with Stuart and the Refinery team on the phone was not in place. We didn't have a clear definition of the terrace, which meant anyone could just walk into our private event. They were supposed to provide wristbands and forgot. I spent the entire event having to ask them to top up the buckets of drinks - I would have expected them to be checking what needed a top up and doing it themselves, within the limits of our minimum spend, but that didn't happen so guests were constantly coming to me to flag what was missing. In the end we were £1.2k below our minimum spend so the top ups should have definitely happened (at least they allowed us to take some bottles to make up the amount). Food was average, some of it was really sad (soggy fries nobody touched). And the team was quite rude - they got better after I told one of them I wasn't appreciating or understanding the attitude. Would not book again.

Great ambiance and attentive service
The food options needs to be more accomodating to cater for the different clientele. London being a metropolitan with different races, i felt it did not cater to my african clientele. Not that I expect to find out indigenous options on the menu but the options provided were too rigid and predominantly for the white clientele.

Held a Christmas event here for 60+ people.
Service was fabulous and they managed to serve a 3 course meal within 2 hours. Lovely venue for a get together or business meal
Great location easy to find as well
