Honestly, not much.
A lot of what was agreed with Stuart and the Refinery team on the phone was not in place. We didn't have a clear definition of the terrace, which meant anyone could just walk into our private event. They were supposed to provide wristbands and forgot. I spent the entire event having to ask them to top up the buckets of drinks - I would have expected them to be checking what needed a top up and doing it themselves, within the limits of our minimum spend, but that didn't happen so guests were constantly coming to me to flag what was missing. In the end we were £1.2k below our minimum spend so the top ups should have definitely happened (at least they allowed us to take some bottles to make up the amount). Food was average, some of it was really sad (soggy fries nobody touched). And the team was quite rude - they got better after I told one of them I wasn't appreciating or understanding the attitude. Would not book again.
