Shang Social brings diners on a culinary journey with an extensively curated menu that features traditional and contemporary interpretations of Chinese cuisine that stay true to their authentic flavours and roots.
Designed by Takenouchi Webb, the overall design concept at Shang Social features a modern and sophisticated take on traditional elements fusing both Chinese and local cultures through a creative mix-use of colours, textures, and patterns.
Materials such as hand-painted silk panels, light oak timber, marble, polished plaster, brass, and terrazzo are combined with subtle Chinese motifs to provide depth and layering in the different areas, enhancing the poetics of the overall ambience of the space, and reinforcing the local appeal and cultural connection.
