Party Venues Hire Guide

As anyone familiar with Singapore will tell you, you might have a more challenging time avoiding the city’s party scene than taking part in it! This city has no qualms about letting its hair down and having a good time. As one of the most multicultural cities in Southeast Asia, Singapore offers an endless array of entertainment options and party venues. From classy clubs to rowdy pubs and everything in between, you’ll never run out of ways to keep your guests entertained. The best part is that there are plenty of options for everyone’s tastes. Whether you want to dance the night away at one of the many clubs or chill out over drinks, there’s bound to be something for you in Singapore. So now that we’ve got you looking around, here are some of the most popular party venue types available for rent:

  • First and foremost, bars, nightclubs, and lounges are the gold standard for nightlife in Singapore — and with good reason! Clarke Quay features some of the best nightlife in the world, so if you can get past the sticker shock when looking at prices then it's a die-die must-try.
  • Rooftop venues and sleek party boats are also quite popular rental options for those looking to add an additional layer of exclusivity to their party, which is always a plus when you really want to impress your guests.
  • If you’ve got something more specific in mind and need a freer hand when setting up your party you can always take advantage of one of the ever-popular hotel spaces and studios around the city. This usually means a bit more effort in setting things up, but that can be a positive if you’ve got a vision of the perfect party in mind!

Keeping some of the more popular venue types in mind, let’s have a look at some of the latest party trends in Singapore:

  • Private pool parties are among the fastest-growing and downright coolest things in the Singapore nightlife scene. They often feature an open bar and DJ to keep your guests grooving all night long. These venues are conveniently located near Singapore's scenic nature reserves and iconic skylines, so your guests can enjoy the view while celebrating
  • More relaxed parties are also now in vogue. These are usually held at one of the city's many lounges. With the recent uptick in lounges that offer a variety of beverages and foods, it's no surprise that they're becoming so popular. They're perfect for sophisticated events with lots of food, drink, and music. If you're looking for something more low-key, try a wine bar or jazz club instead!
  • Karaoke parties are still as fun as they’ve always been, but modern amenities in some of the dedicated spaces around the city make them more fun than they’ve ever been. Modern karaoke venues now have their own brand of entertainment, with high-tech sound systems and projection screens to keep things interesting.
  • Renting a private boat for a bash on the high seas is always a wild ride and a surefire way to make your party a hit. If you're looking for something truly unique and memorable, consider renting out a private boat and taking your friends out on the water for an unforgettable night!

At this point, you’re probably wondering where to start looking for all of these awesome places and we don’t blame you, Singapore is a busy place! Here are some of the areas to look out for:

  • Any mention of nightlife in the city has to start around the CBD which is filled with bars, pubs, clubs and more for private hire. However, if you do want to see what else the city has to offer then there are plenty of other areas that have something for everyone.
  • If you’re looking for something more intimate, then check out the rooftop bars in Chinatown and along Orchard Road. There are also some great clubs and bars here if that’s what you’re after!
  • Those looking for a bit of a quieter time can have a look at Holland Village, particularly for good shisha bars. There are also plenty of restaurants in this area, so you can find something that suits your tastes without any trouble.
  • You can also check Boat Quay or Clarke Quay for some live music or dancing at one of the many clubs around. These districts are close to the Singapore River, so you can get a taste of the local culture without leaving the area.
  • If food is more your focus, you can’t go wrong by having a look at the area around Dempsey Hill so long as you don’t mind a bit of travel time. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Singapore, this district definitely suits your needs.
  • Be sure to also have a look at One Fullerton for anything you need down by the waterfront!

Party Venues in Singapore FAQ

How much does it cost to rent a venue for a party in Singapore?

The cost of renting a venue can vary greatly depending on the type of event you're hosting, how many people you expect to attend, and the kind of venue you want. Small restaurants usually charge around $200-350 per hour for their space. Large banquet halls might charge $1500-$2000 per session depending on when you're hosting the event (weekends are generally more expensive). (All data from Tagvenue.)

What kind of venues can I rent for a party in Singapore?

The most popular venues rented for parties are restaurants, bars and function rooms. There are many more options available, though. You can rent a party boat on the Singapore River, or go for something more unusual like a concert venue! If you’re looking for something more traditional and elegant, try renting one of the ball venues found throughout Singapore.

What are some of the best party venues in Singapore?

  • Entire Venue at TUFF CLUB. When you're looking for a unique place with great vibes for your next event, look no further than this one! This spacious place can accommodate up to 250 people and offers a built-in bar, wireless internet, stage and sound system. You can host a range of events, from a cocktail party to a fundraiser or even a concert.
  • Al-Fresco Poolside at OSO. Experience the bustling restaurant atmosphere and choose this option for your next cocktail party. Favourites include the Signature Vietnamese Beef Pho, Cold Truffle Angel Hair Pasta, and Sichuan Style Spicy Chicken — all served with smooth drams of your choice.

Can I bring my own drinks to a party venue in Singapore?

It's important to know the venue's policy before you go in there with a six-pack in tow. If the party venue is BYOB, then you can bring your own drinks. However, sometimes venues have a corkage fee and you may need to provide your own glasses. Others may have a policy that prohibits you from bringing your own alcohol into the venue. Always check with the venue manager about your needs before finalising your booking.

Booked Rooftop at EZCO WORKSPACE @ BOAT QUAY
Perfect location for an intimate rooftop party with friends for NYE! We could see the fireworks, closer than expected :P Love how friendly Annuar was when he was showing us the space - and all my friends were super impressed by the venue! We were also able to spruce it up a bit with decorative lights thanks to the many power outlets. Would give this place a 11 out of 10 if possible! We'll definitely be considering this venue again when hosting our next party. Thanks again, Annuar! :)

Booked Studio & Space at The Teahouse Studio
We celebrated our daughters 1st birthday with our close family, friends and relatives in this studio.. Studio was neat, tidy and comfortable for 50 pax. Ian was very responsive from the time of booking till end of the event. He was very accommodating to the guests needs. He had tables, Bluetooth speakers, wifi, stools, chairs, sofa, coffee table, open wardrobe, cleaning supplies and many more helpful items for us to use. Was very satisfied with this booking (studio) and will definitely book again in future! Thank you Ian and team!

Booked Karaoke + Event Room at All In One (BGL)
Genuinely enjoyed my time here! Good location, and there were plenty of facilities (karaoke, projector screen for movie screening, arcade-game facility, some of my friends played card games, and I even learnt how to play pool), all in good quality. I thought the aircon was weak but it's actually very strong and the room was well conditioned. Vibes were immaculate with the lighting, and there was a chalk wall for us to write on as well. Staff were extremely friendly and responsive, which added on to the overall experience at this place. Will definitely come back and recommend this place to my other friends as well! Thank you for the amazing time here!!

Booked Entire Venue at Host Events Pte Ltd
The venue is bright, airy and cheerful, just the right size for my group of 40+pax. The simplicity of their set up makes it easy to decorate. Coffee, tea and water cooler/heater is provided which is great. Emma and her team are very accommodating to help us shift some furnitures around and offered great suggestions too. Highly recommend this place!
