About this space
Our garden room & patio and our basement bar are 2 separate spaces that are both great for group bookings of up to 40 people. Over the 8 years we have been open we have hosted a wide range of celebrations from birthdays to baby showers, weddings and anniversaries to book clubs and corporate events.
The garden room and patio is a mixture of comfy seating inside and out. It's excellent in the Summer taking full advantage of french doors that lead out onto our secret little patio. In the Winter the room comes into it's own with a wood burning stove taking centre stage.
Being situated directly behind our main bar we can serve your guests easily, whilst it feels much like a private dedicated space for you all.
The basement bar area is open for similar sized groups and is serviced by it's own private bar and a background PA system. It's an atmospheric and candlelit space situated under our main bar. Please note we do not open this area in the Summer months.

About The Racketeer
Opened in June 2017, The Racketeer has restored this Victorian drinking establishment to its former glory. Serving both modern and classic cocktails, craft and draft beer and an inventive wine list to compliment a snazzy bar snack menu. We offer table service and bookings in a comfortable and relaxed setting with outdoor seating front and back in this family-run, independent cocktail bar and pub.
We have 2 floors, a ground floor bar with seating and standing room for up to 100, a small patio garden and outdoor seating at the front of the space. The basement has a snug bar and is a room that can fit up to 40 and is perfect for Birthday parties in the Winter or as a room to compliment the ground floor for larger events. There is an independent background PA system in both spaces and toilets are located in the basement.
We have a long established, professional and friendly team who can guide you through the extensive drinks menu. We are able to cater to specific food and drink requests to whatever kind of event you are wanting to host with us.
