Hired the room for a 50th birthday party. Perfect size and location. Hostess was amazing, drinks were ordered and arrived prompty. Liese was brilliant helping with arrangements. Drinks and food were great. All guest loved it!

Hosted a private, ticketed event here and both Alex and Gabby couldn't have been more helpful and responsive in their communications and answering my questions in the run up. On the night, everything was well organised and calm. Lovely, intimate venue in good location. Recommend! 😀

Brilliant communication from the minute I submitted my first enquiry right up to the same day as my booking. Planning and pulling off a marriage proposal is a very stressful experience and I’m so grateful that I chose to do it at Close-Up Cinema because they took away so much of the stress for me and helped me with every tiny detail throughout. A specific shoutout to Damien for all the organisation before the event and Jake for helping me with all the last minute requests and all the setup on the day. Couldn’t recommend this venue enough! I celebrated my 30th birthday party! amazing staff and support ! We were able to bring our own drinks and also buy at the bar. We brought our own food ! and because the venue was free before my event I was able to come 3 hours early to set up for free! Definitely will use this venue again! Location is perfect! Parking is free outside on weekends! Nice big open pace clean canvas to decorate however you want! Kwan and Junior are so kind and friendly! I hope they had a good time at my party too!

Really amazing venue, very flexible, helpful and on the night made it extremely easy to focus on having a nice time! Kwan was really kind, did lots of cleaning and clearing throughout the night which was fantastic. Junior (the owner) was on the bar and was really nice and helpful during the night. We ordered food from the restaurant 2 doors down (Pizza Tribe) which worked really well. Good deal for the space and they were relaxed when we stayed a little longer than we had paid for. The space was fantastic for what we needed. It was my 30th party and there were about 45 guests. We all fitted in comfortably but it didn't look empty. There's a little room off to the side which we used as a cloak room which was really handy and kept it out of the way. It's right near Old Street station too, so really convenient for people to get to.

The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment of booking right through to the day itself. The food was served at the allotted time and was very tasty. The staff even let the party go on till at least an hour after the allotted time which was incredibly appreciated. Thank you!

I had a birthday party here with 45 people, and the space worked really well. The team at the pub was really helpful in and got back quickly to any questions or updates. The food was good value for money and really tasty. Also a great location, in walking distance to several tube stops.
