I hired the venue for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday and it was everything I could ask for from a venue! Bhush was amazing from the beginning, very helpful and responsive to all my queries. We were able to have our own food, bar, decorations; basically the venue was as flexible as could be. We went with the bar Bhush recommended and were very impressed with the service. One person served 40 people and the wait for cocktails was no more than a couple minutes. The bar hire was very affordable as well as the drinks, plus the bar itself looked incredible and went perfectly with our theme. A special thank you to Simon, our event manager for the night who was extremely helpful from the get-go. He had the projector set up before we arrived, and helped us pack and clear up at the end of the night (thank you for carrying pizzas!). All in all a wonderful night, thank you for helping us do everything exactly as we imagined!
Not a negative but perhaps something to keep in mind is that the sound volume is not club-level high, but that wasn’t a problem in our case as it was easier to have conversations while the music was on. It gets pricey extending the hire beyond 11pm, but considering the location it’s understandable.
I have celebrated my 30th Birthday at co-balance cafe. It’s a little gem hidden in Shoreditch. The venue is spacious and the staff are extremely helpful and wonderful to work with. Bhush and Lara are super stars they are very attentive and I cannot thank them more for helping me organise a nice memorable night with my loved ones. I’ve ordered catering separately but they do offer catering services as well. All in all extremely happy and highly recommend this venue for your celebrations.
The sound quality of the speakers could improve.
It was fab! Great space and location, we were able to take our own food and drink. The events manager was great and there to help throughout the evening and the security lady was lovely too. Great space with warm and coloured lights, lots of space and games too! Would definitely book again.
Would have liked to have checked the sound system before the night, same with the microphone as we could not get it to work. The pre planning could have been better, we would have liked to have been introduced to the events manager beforehand so that we could better organise in advance. After payment a follow up from the manager to help with event arrangements would have made for a better experience.
This venue was perfect for my birthday party... it's very lovely and versatile, and the staff are extremely friendly. Host at the venue was very attentive and anticipated my every need - she really made my night a lot easier and free flowing! Everyone who attended loved the venue and some have mentioned that they will book for future events. Huge thank you to the team at CoBalance!
