About La Terrazza

Serving continental and cooked-to-order breakfasts, weekend Prosecco brunches, grazing tapas style lunches, indulgent afternoon teas, and a seasonal a la carte dinner menu, La Terrazza really is the jewel in Kensington’s crown. The kitchen is open from 7 am – 10.30 pm daily and is rightly regarded as one of the best Kensington restaurants for Italian food.

Out of all the Kensington restaurants, La Terrazza is the most beautiful, bright, and casual space situated on the ground floor of Hotel Xenia, Autograph Collection open to the public and in-house guests. With comfortable colorful chairs set against the custom-made Fornasetti wallpaper, the restaurant creates a relaxing space to savor delicious dishes over a long, relaxing afternoon or evening in the heart of Kensington.

Afternoon tea at La Terrazza is served on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays from 2-5 pm and must be pre-booked. It is a perfect respite serving for those exploring West London and the fantastic array of museums and galleries on the restaurant’s doorstep including the Design Museum, Natural History Museum, and V&A Museum – what could be better to take the strain off your feet than one of the best restaurants in Kensington?

When the lights are dimmed and tables are redressed for dinner service, La Terrazza comes into its own as a romantic setting for a dinner date or pre-theatre dinner before heading to a performance at The Royal Albert Hall nearby. Offering an extensive wine list from the on-site cellar, diners can explore a plethora of Italian wines by bottle or glass, the collection of which includes fantastic labels from artisan and organic vineyards.

Available for exclusive hire, the Kensington restaurant seats up to 40 guests for gala dinners, buffet lunches, dining for up to 50 people and networking receptions for up to 70 people with the use of the La Terrazza Conservatory and Terrace.
