Stunning venue, great views and fantastic staff. The booking team were all really helpful and did their best to get the room set up exactly as we wanted it. The food was really tasty and the staff were very quick to replenish things when they were running low. We went on a tour of the Globe after our meeting and the staff escorted us over to meet our guide.

A few of the chairs were not fit for use, one of our guests sat on his chair and it collapsed under him. The staff were really quick to replace the chairs which were damaged.

The whole team from Open Contracts Ltd had a fantastic night at the Swan. Everyone from the Swan was attentive and helpful from start to finish. Special thanks to Nicole for being the best host. I'm sure we will be back to the Swan for future events.

About Swan, Shakespeare's Globe

Swan’s light and airy Balcony Room is an exclusive venue hire in London with remarkable views of the iconic riverside. Floor to ceiling French windows open onto the private balcony with its backdrop of St Paul’s Cathedral, the Thames, and the Globe theatre.

Ideal for private or corporate events, and for summer and Christmas parties.

The stylish Balcony Room, with its elegant, panelled green walls, statement chandelier and abundant natural light, can be hired for private event celebrations, corporate meetings, and dinners.

The long wooden table – handmade from an oak tree that fell in the Great Storm of 1987 – is just the thing for board meetings and convivial private lunches or dinners. On the walls are twenty prints of Henri Matisse’s ‘Jazz’. These brightly coloured pictures were originally intended as covers for French art magazine ‘Verve’ and were inspired by the circus and the theatre.

Impossibly romantic – and with our Shakespearean links, how could it not be? – the space is also licensed for weddings.

Our restaurant standard food is created from top quality ingredients, sourced with integrity from England’s best producers. Dishes highlighting impeccable, seasonal flavours are crafted with skill by our experienced team.

Swan’s wine list features small vineyards as well as better known producers. We seek out lesser known but highly rated wines so that we can offer you something out of the ordinary at excellent prices.

Abundant natural light, French windows open onto the private balcony with views over London’s skyline, private bar, air conditioning, lift access, licensed until 1am with extension available, licensed for weddings, private manned cloakroom, private unisex bathroom, separate registration area, in-house production, wi-fi, sound system, impressive Tom Kirk linear chandelier crafted from 1,200 glass cylinders.
