If you’re wanting to book a trustworthy events space then I would avoid curve club as much as possible!!
In December 2023 I enquired about hiring the venue for a vowel renewal party, after visiting the location we agreed terms and I paid the invoice. Fast forward to 3 months before the date of the booking, out of nowhere curve club tells me they got the pricing wrong and are demanding triple the amount or to cancel - as well as reducing the booking hours.
After telling them I’ve already booked external vendors and guests have arranged accommodation nearby, they came back to say it’s pay up or go. This stance was supported by the owners, and I have been left no choice but to find an alternative last minute at immense stress and cost.
The owners of this venue do not operate in good faith and the irony of being a private members club promoting entrepreneurship is unbelievable. I would be embarrassed to be associated with a company that works like this.
