"We had our wedding reception at the Columbia."
- Laura C. Sep 2025
The Viceroy & Regency Suites are private event suites in The Columbia hotel, notable for their high ceilings and preserved period detailing.
Design: The interior features decorative plasterwork, ceiling roses and original chandeliers above wide, reclaimed wooden floorboards. Tall sash windows and pale panelling deliver abundant natural daylight and clear sightlines across the room.
Features: A built-in PA system and speakers provide in-room sound for announcements and music. Complimentary Wi‑Fi is available for guests and organisers. Own music is permitted and external DJs may be accommodated subject to the venue's noise restrictions.
Ideal for: Private hosts and corporate groups seeking a formal, seated dinner or a flexible standing reception in a bright, period interior.
What sets it apart: An interconnecting pair of reception rooms that open through a wide arch to create a continuous flow for events.
What guests say: The suites are quiet even when the building faces a busy road.
- Outside catering is allowed
- No smoking in the building

We had our wedding reception at the Columbia. From the moment we came to see the venue to the day itself, Asia supported us to make our vision a reality! She is professional, enthusiastic, responsive and creative, guided us with our planning to help us stay on track and communicated with all the vendors to ensure everything and everyone arrived on time and was as expected. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and ideal for around 100-120 guests, with spaces for everyone: those who want to dance, relax or be outdoors on warmer days. We had our reception in the Viceroy & Regency, dinner at the Windsor suite and dancing at the V&R, and definitely recommend hiring both rooms. The staff set up the rooms just as we expected and everything looked beautiful. We knew it was the perfect venue as soon as we saw it and the price point is very reasonable for the rooms, balcony, staff and location! Highly recommended. Thank you so much for a perfect day!

The venue was so beautiful and Lucy was so helpful to help us get set up, letting me come early for a delivery, liaising with the caterer to finalise details - it was the perfect work Christmas party and had a lot of my colleagues say how well it wen!
