At SAMA Bankside we have two cosy booths which are ideal for smaller groups of up to 20 people.
Blue Booth, upper floor seats 6-12 and suitable for group sizes of up to 20 (rest standing).
Pink Booth, lower floor seats 6-12 and suitable for group sizes of up to 20 (rest standing).

Would be better if there was a men’s and ladies’ toilets on both floors- that’s the only reason Venue was 4/5.
The venue was lovely and as the night went on the atmosphere grew as well. We booked the blue seating booth, but ended up hardly using it, instead choosing to stand around the bar, which didn't seem to be a problem. The staff were helpful and there was a good energy between them. Other than our party, there were two other groups on the same floor, but we felt like we had enough space of our own. In addition, another group had reserved the beer pong table, but we were able to use it for a game or two after checking with them.
We chose not to use the table we had booked because we couldn't talk across it as it was so wide. The lighting was particularly dark around the booth as well, and although there were lights, we were told they could not be turned on for the booth individually, which meant they could not be turned on at all.
Easy to arrange, staff was friendly and food was decent
Booth reserved was too dark, lighting wasn’t great. Chicken platter was already sold out by 6pm. Staff was helpful only when asked, really didn’t make us feel any special compared to anyone else who turned up without reserving an area
The venue itself was great and would have been just the ticket if it was busy and the dancefloor had opened. Food and drinks were delicious.
The staff were not very friendly and seemed a bit annoyed that we were there. There were very few other customers so I can understand they wanted to shut up early and go home, but this was disappointing when we had booked to party and enjoy a dance!
About SAMA Bankside
The location is a twin railway arch venue set over 2 floors and is located next to Blackfriars Bridge on the south side of the river in the shadow of Sea Containers and the OXO Tower (nearest stations are Southwark or Blackfriars).
Venue is industrial in style with exposed brickwork, a reclaimed upper wooden floor and polished concrete lower floor with chesterfield sofas, cosy booth seating in bright colours and unapologetic artwork to get your guests talking.
Space is available for booking from 6 to 300 guests. There is a bar and toilets on each floor and full catering options available.
We have a separate Private Dining and Meeting Room that can accommodate 20 people seated or 30 people for a standing drinks reception.
The venue is available until 12am Monday - Thursday and until 1.30am Friday and Saturday.
