About this space
A large, airy hall full of natural light and open space. Originally a Baptist chapel, later a ballet school, and now a meditation hall, this is a light, energising space with a huge ceiling, period features, and an original wooden floor from 1852.
The main space is 42 square metres (7x6) and can accommodate up to 50 people standing or 20 seated. It comes with a sound system, projector, screen, and high-speed wifi. There is a separate, seated welcome and refreshments area (18 square metres) and a fully-equipped kitchen. The partition between the main space and the seated space can be removed to create 1 large space.
It’s suitable for presentations, screenings, meetings, poetry readings, and classes such as yoga, tai chi, art, and flower arranging. There are several smaller rooms that could be used for breakout sessions or services such as counselling or therapy.
We’re 5 minutes walk from Clapham Common tube and 6 minutes from Clapham High Street overground.

No alcoholic drinks may be consumed at the Centre.
No smoking or vaping is permitted at the Centre.
No public music, dancing, or other public entertainment is allowed at the Centre.
No gambling, illegal, immoral, or indecent activity is permitted.
Noise levels must be contained to a reasonable level at all times without causing a nuisance or annoyance to other users of the building of which the Centre forms part or to neighboring residents.
Cancellation policy: Standard 60 day with Grace Period

Amazing location for events! Jez is an absolute gem, very kind and helpful. We had a great time and will be coming back again! Lots of good parking too and facilities are great.
This was a lovely place for our event. The host is very caring and responsive.
Very communicative host, and very helpful on arrival and set up. The venue was warm, spacious and calm, with good self-catering facilities. Close to tube (5 minutes) and close to supermarkets and cafes. I will definitely use it again.
The Shambala meditation center is a wonderful warm and beautiful space to hold events. Jez was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend this space.
