The private room (Chesterfield Room), service was excellent, great communication during booking process, food was so delicious. Would definitely rebook and recommend.

We absolutely loved our time at The Market Tavern, staff were so attentive and helpful! Great communication on the lead up with staff which was such a relief when planning an event, knowing exactly what you are going to get. We opted for the seat meal option, which we were a bit sceptical about because of how overwhelming it must be to feed twenty people their meal at the same time… but it couldn’t have run more smoothly. They managed to get every single persons food out within seconds of eachother- all warm and absolutely delicious (also may I add that some people had more than one plate of food, so that really is impressive!) We were allowed to play our own music, and they even let us have the room for a bit longer than we had originally requested due to changes in our schedule. Would highly highly recommend this venue and will definitely keep it in mind for any future events I may organise. Thanks again!
The room isn’t massive but plenty of space for twenty of us! When we arrived the room was absolutely boiling, it was the recent bank holiday where we had 30 degree heat- so it would have been nice if this had been thought about before our arrival so we weren’t running around trying to decorate in a sauna, but I must say it was rectified by turning on the air con unit once we asked the bar staff. Midway through our event the whole side panel of the air-con flew off and hit one of the members of our party on the hands, although VERY apologetic staff and an incident that could not have been helped, it would have been nice if they had at-least offered the lady who had been hit with it a free drink or something, especially as we did spend quite a bit of money there anyway. This didn’t spoil the event at all, and doesn’t take away from the amazing venue though- just thought it was important to note

We had our wedding dinner in the Chesterfield Room and it was beautiful! Jared was super helpful throughout the whole process, especially when it came to helping us find a seating arrangement to fit 18 of us onto one table - couldn't recommend more! Great food with generous portions!
