Just when you thought you’d finished exploring The Last Talisman, you sense the presence of pisco and añejo tequila in the air. No, you’re not seeing double. You’ve stumbled onto our bar-within-a-bar: the secret jewel of The Last Talisman that is Mala Madre.
The passion project of our co-creator, Dre Masso, Mala Madre brings together Dre’s Colombian roots and his experience living in Bali to create a food and drink fusion like no other. Designed with true cocktail aficionados in mind, Dre’s creative concoctions bring a unique experience to Bermondsey Street, with a bespoke menu distinct from, yet complementary to that of The Last Talisman.
Mala Madre is a private events space, complete with stylish and comfy surroundings. From the all black La Ofrenda to the dynamite daiquiri, Dre's flair for tequila, pisco & rum drinks can be tasted in every sip. The only question is: will you be lucky enough to find it?

Had my 40th here. The bar organised so much the whole process was so easy! The food was excellent, a lot of my guests were praising how good it was. The drinks were flowing, the music system was all set up to pick up your Spotify playlist, and the bar staff were really helpful and great! All round a fantastic evening! The cheese table is a must. It was set up beautifully and was scrumptious!
Only one downside was one of the toilets in the ladies was flooded and unusable.

Great venue in a great location. Food and drinks were fantastic.
The music system was not working for 4 hours of the party. The sound engineer did not turn up until after 9. This was a problem as we literally could not use or music or have the singer we had booked as this was an after work party that started at 5:30. This means we were out of pocket after paying for a singer that travelled into London that we couldn’t use.
Everything was excellent, great venue, great service, food was good and cocktails excellent
