Birmingham has a well-deserved reputation as a centre of industry and commerce. As you’d imagine, venues around the city are well versed in hosting a variety of events. These range from seminars and corporate retreats to business lunches and high-pressure meetings (both in the conference room and over fancy drinks). On the other side, Birmingham is also home to a rapidly growing social scene. You’ll often find a variety of places offering their spaces for private concerts and various small events for just a handful of guests. Whether you’re enjoying a luxurious private meal in Digbeth, checking out the nightlife in Jewellery Quarter, or catching a small show in Theatreland, Birmingham has a lot on offer if you know where to look.
Birmingham boasts a rich heritage from its industrial past and it’s a fact many event planners take advantage of. Converted industrial spaces are in vogue for larger events, while older mansions are also available for private parties. You can easily find space for hire in a concert hall or theatre. There is a great deal of variety in bars, clubs (both dance and football), and restaurants that offer their venues for events both large and small.
The area surrounding St. Philip’s Cathedral is sprinkled with event venues for hire. If you go down Temple and Waterloo Streets, you’ll find a selection of both cheap venues and those more upscale. Going a bit further south into the Chinese Quarter, there’s an array of restaurants, bars and clubs with spaces available for small to medium-sized events. Slightly to the west of the city centre, along Broad Street, you’ll find event spaces with a more exclusive feel. Lounges, VIP rooms and clubs can all be found relatively near each other in this part of the city.
Found an amazing venue within 10 minutes of looking! Really happy :)
I came across Tag Venue completely by accident and Sarah was unbelievably helpful in saving me valuable time and conducting the search on my behalf. I would not hesitate to use Tag Venue again.
