We booked out the Front Room of the venue (with no charge) for an 18th Birthday, the space was brilliantly adorned with vibrant couches, tables and lamps, offering plenty of seating for guests and a great atmosphere with low lighting and a disco ball. The area was perfectly suited for the 40-50 people we had; I was very capable of walking around the room without it feeling awkwardly spacious or stuffy.
Phil and the rest of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful - they gave us all the possible venue information to plan catering and extra items we would need. The food and cocktail menus were great and able to cater for different allergies, and we were able to play semi-loud music and bring our own decorations. Any inquiries we had were easily sorted over both TagVenue messaging and via phone call.
Overall it felt like seamless organisation and was an awesome night!

I had my 30th birthday party at the Purple Emerald and had a fantastic time. From start to finish, Phil was incredible to work with, very adaptable to any requests, and had a great top-to-bottom coverage of all needs in the planning for the event.
I opted for a bar tab option and platter catering (all of which had high praise from all attendees). I did shop around after finding this venue, but the price, food options (excellent dietary coverage) and location just couldn't be beat.
I originally had reservations about the space feeling too small, however with 60-65 people and an identical set up to the profile image of the sundeck, it was a really nice, cosy space. There was plenty of room to move around with a good view of the tv in the corner, and enough furniture for sitting.
The staff regularly checked in during the night to see if anything else was needed, and everything just ran super smoothly from the word go.
Thank you so much Phil and the team at The Purple Emerald Bar. One of my guests said they often come by as patrons and I intend to join them going forwards. Great team, great space, and great night had by everyone who attended.
When guests gathered too close to the entrance to the deck, it made moving around really hard. Not a critique of the venue as there was plenty of space if everyone filled around the room instead.
This, and that I didn't order more of the lamb skewers...
