About Lacquer Room

Lacquer Room is a Tagvenue Partner. This business has registered with Tagvenue and agreed to our venue partner standards.

Lacquer Room is an Asian restaurant specialising in Malaysian and Southeast Asian dishes, presenting a menu that blends regional street-food classics with contemporary restaurant plating.

Venue highlights: In-house catering supports private hires with set or bespoke menus prepared by the on-site kitchen. The menu includes extensive vegan, gluten-free and vegetarian options to accommodate dietary requirements. A lift connects the floors for step-free access and the venue can be booked alongside on-site accommodation for multi-day arrangements.

Best for: Private dinners and milestone meals; tasting-menu events and chef-led showcases; corporate dinners that require tailored catering and dietary flexibility.

Location: Barkston Gardens in Kensington. The street sits within a residential garden-square setting, which provides a quieter backdrop for evening events compared with busier high streets.

What guests say: Service is attentive and responsive, with staff arranging remakes or replacements promptly when dishes are incorrect. The menu delivers a well-regarded laksa and occasional standout mains such as a slow-cooked Wagyu beef stew.
