The Fish Tank is the perfect area to host drinks or smaller dining party. It is overlooking the bar area, so while you are separate from everyone else, you are still in the midst of the pub. The area holds up to 30 guests standing and 20 sitting (on a variety of higher and lower tables).

We had a semi-private area off a set of stairs with easy access to bar but still felt like our own party. We showed a video and staff were really helpful about letting us get hooked up etc.

Hands down such a brilliant choice for a special occassion! Decided to throw my husband a last minute 30th surprise birthday and had so many options that werent just cutting it. Lucky for me Putney Tavern had the upper floor restaurant still available to hire out. The location is ideal being around a minute walk from the station and street parking available around the venue (free from 630pm). The responsiveness to my questions was so prompt which was very much appreciated considering we only had a week and a bit til the party itself! The team on the night (special shoutout to Kimon) was just so fantastic in catering to our needs despite the place being so busy on the saturday night! The minimum spend is so reasonable when some food is pre-ordered compared to other venues (even when like me, we had some guests that do not drink alcholic beverages). All of our guests had an amazing time with the food being great quality too - totally recommend the mini buffet we pre-ordered. Such a seamless experience - thank you to the whole team at Putney Tavern!

The place was very lively on the saturday night so we would get the occasional wandering of bunches of ppl looking if they could find space in the area we had. This was very minor though and we didn't have any issues once we told them the space was hired!

The team was very accommodating with my friends who arrived a tad early for decorating and then they spotted me immediately and had a dedicated staff member checking in though the evening on us. They allowed us to select the playlist for our area of the venue and even made so that we could have space to dance. it was clean and kids friendly even. they really came through at a time when it was very very difficult to find a spot

No negatives - we were prepared to party on, but alas it is London and my crowd understood the limitations.
