Fast service and good location room was very pleasant indeed and a great drinks selection.
Toilets were extremely unpleasant and dirty. Very loud Minimum spend I had in writing as 5k of which I paid 500 upfront. Im told at the end of the evening my guests were asked to purchase 5 bottle of champagne at £70 as we had not reached the minimum spend which had risen without telling me to well over 6k. I would love to see the figures of this at some point.
Friendly, helpful staff who did their best to make sure the evening went well. As it was a book launch they accommodated a bookseller and provided a microphone and a sound system for music later. The events area upstairs offers a warm and atmospheric space for guests. I would highly recommend for any event.
The space was very good, bar staff were friendly and provided a great service (shame they were awful in the quiz). We were very happy with the whole event and would definitely consider coming back.
Whilst we did not expect food to be at a restaurant standard, several dishes were cold on arrival. In addition, the steaks unfortunately took a good 5 minutes longer than the rest of the mains (which is not a big issue) but they were not cooked to the requested levels - most were medium - well done rather than medium rare.
Really great venue for a party. Space is large, with ability for lots of open space for standing groups in middle while also keeping seating around the edge. Private bar is large with lots of drinks available. Can’t beat the location for convenience.
