About this space

Original, 1927, Art Deco 85-seat cinema. The cinema was fully restored in 2019 following a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The cinema has proved itself to be exceptionally multi-use.

As well as film screenings, we also regularly host stand-up comedy nights, live music performances, and conferences. You will have a dedicated member of staff assisting you with your tech. set-up and additional drinks packages are available. You can show a film on DVD or a presentation from a laptop using our HDMI cable.

The cinema is fully accessible and has an additional wheelchair space.

Would recommend downloading the movie before hand as the venue WiFi is poor!!

It's an amazing venue. Beautiful chairs great drapes – it really did transform into a beautiful space for my group. The people who helped on the night were so amazing, so kind and so patient – they really did support with all the technical help and just ensuring that everything was done well. I was able to have my van go without any issues but was assured that if anything did happen with the technical elements, I would have someone there ready to help me! I would definitely recommend and will definitely be going back and hosting another event there
I would've appreciated the opportunity to bring my own drinks! I know it's a pub so understand but I would've loved if they allow the soft drinks at least as it wasn't even allowed to bring juice

FAQ

Yes, MP4 should be fine on a laptop, as it mirrors your screen when connected.

A freestanding amplifier is positioned at the front of the stage, with a microphone attached.

The venue has a Barco projector, which can play content by DVD or from a laptop with an HDMI port.
