Lined with imported Jerusalem stone, our beautiful Sanctuary is the heart of our venue around which the rest of the building is designed. 950 people can be seated over two levels to face the raised central podium known as the bimah

Whilst the Sanctuary is the LJS's prayer hall on Shabbat Friday nights and Saturday mornings, it has also been the venue for Conferences, concerts, hustings, lectures and performances.

Featuring specialist lighting and sound systems, it is an ideal venue for large capacity events.

Our building has over 100 years of history. Within we have 10 stylish yet modern spaces. Our rooms accommodate 5 - 500 people, most supplied with the latest audio and visual.

Whether you're looking to arrange a meeting, training, conference, lunch, wedding party, children's party, anniversary, Bar or Bat mitzvah, orchestral concert, or anything in between, the LJS is the perfect venue. These may be one-offs or ongoing lettings.
