About this space

Basil's Bar is located on the first floor of Fox On The Green with large windows for natural daylight. It features its own private bar and moveable seating for a versatile event space - Perfect for meetings, special occasions and corporate celebrations.

This space has fantastic AV equipment including a projector and TV screens making it one of the best spaces in Islington for sporting occasions too.

Whilst this space has the capacity to seat 55 guests, we are able to accommodate seated dining for up to 20 guests, however our buffet menu is very popular for private events.

If you would like to bring your own entertainment for your event, you are welcome to provide your own equipment. All entertainment is subject to venue management approval.

** Please note for functions other than meetings, we require a minimum of 40 guests to hire this space. Seasonal minimum spends are applicable between the dates of 18th November-31st December 2024 and may differ from the spends listed. Please enquire for an accurate quote for your party **

Staff were great - super helpful. Nice private bar upstairs, quick service. Left to do our own thing. The disco lights were a delightful bonus. No complaints would recommend!!
Only gripe would be that the minimum spend is steep - we had 60 people attend and we had to pay £200 at the end as despite most of us being more than merry……. If you get food I guess that’s fine.

We had a wonderful celebration here! The staff were friendly and efficient, it was seamless to book the space and sign the contract. The location is great too and being able to have our own bartender and access to the aux and projector allowed us to make our graduation more personal. We were able to order both food and drinks. The wait for food could be long but that was to be expected since we had a large group and the staff had told me this ahead of time, so that was not an issue for us. The minimum spend is also very reasonable which makes it less stressful to book, in my opinion. Thank you, Fox on the Green team!

FAQ

Yes, a playlist can be connected via a phone or iPad. External DJs must bring all their own equipment, excluding speakers, have an in-date PAT test certificate, and obtain venue approval, which is not guaranteed.

Guests are welcome to play their own music, and the venue is believed to have various connectors.

Yes, a live mariachi band may be accommodated subject to venue approval, but approval is not guaranteed. External DJs require approval and must bring all their own equipment and an in-date PAT test certificate.

Someone may be able to help move furniture, but this cannot be guaranteed if the venue is busy.
