About this space

Steeped in history the Canning Room is named after the Canning Club which called 1 Hamilton Place, London home from 1910 to 1970 but then began sharing premises with the Naval and Military Club in 1970.

Fully refurbished in 2021, infused with a Latin American influence which is shown from the hand-painted wallpaper that takes pride on the walls, this versatile room features a delightful fireplace, soft furnishings, a listed bookcase, and an elegant bar area.

The Canning Room is adaptable to host informal lounge chair meetings, filming, interviews, a breakout room or can accommodate a cocktail party for up to 60 guests.

The whole experience was excellent. The events team upgraded our room to separate our function from another larger group nearby. Our staff on the night were very attentive and looked after our group superbly. The canapes were excellent and quality of wines selected very good I would highly recommend the In and Out for a special event.
