Full Space at Borough Point
About this space
This 1,700 m² former petrol station in Southwark is available for private hire, with around 680 m² of covered space beneath the original canopy. It can host up to 200 seated guests under the canopy or up to 800 standing across the full site.
The covered area can be used for dining, a bar, stage, or dance floor, with the open forecourt providing additional event space. Three-phase electricity is available across the site, and a nine-metre gate provides vehicle access directly onto the level concrete forecourt.
The former showroom areas can be used as green rooms, production offices, or VIP spaces. Kitchens, toilets, Wi-Fi, and onsite parking are also available.
The venue works well for launches, summer parties, brand events, banquets, screenings, photoshoots, and productions.

Booking & payment. All hires are confirmed on a signed licence with 50% of the fee paid on booking. The balance must be cleared before first access, and the damage deposit (£1,000–£2,000 by event size) before keys or access are given. Hire runs strictly to the booked hours; overtime is charged at £300/hour in 30-minute increments and invoiced within 7 days. All rates exclusive of VAT.
Cancellation by the hirer. More than 14 days before the first hire date: booking payment refunded less a £250 administration fee. Within 14 days: 25% of the total fee is payable. Within 7 days: 50%. Within 48 hours: 100%. Dates may be moved once, subject to availability, if requested more than 14 days out. Cancellation by the venue: full refund of all sums paid for the cancelled dates, which is the limit of our liability. Weather is never grounds for cancellation or refund — around 680 m² of the site is covered, which is rather the point.
Insurance & compliance. The hirer must hold public liability insurance of at least £5 million and provide the certificate before access. Any licensable activity — bar sales, regulated entertainment, late amplified music — is the hirer's responsibility via a Temporary Event Notice to Southwark; we'll support the application. Caterers and traders bring their own food registration and gas/electrical certificates.
On site. A named event manager must be present and contactable throughout. No fixings, painting, digging or alterations without prior written consent; no stunts, pyrotechnics, fireworks, drones or hazardous works without written consent and sight of your risk assessment. Generators and heavy vehicles only in agreed positions. Amplified music at neighbour-respecting levels and off by 23:00 unless agreed in writing. No smoking inside the glazed units. Capacity limits as agreed in the licence must not be exceeded.
Cancellation policy: Standard 30 day with Grace Period
