About this space

The Theatre is a black-box theatre in The Free Association, defined by a central open performance floor surrounded by tiered seating that keeps audiences close to the action.

Design: The Theatre uses dark-painted walls and a low, exposed ceiling rig to create a focused, compact performance space. A single exposed brick arch and minimal furnishings provide a restrained, theatrical backdrop.

Features: The Theatre has a professional lighting rig and an in-house PA system with speakers. The Theatre permits own music and a bring‑your‑own‑DJ setup and includes Wi‑Fi, air conditioning, accessible toilets and a step‑free guest entrance.

Ideal for: Small performance companies and creative groups seeking an intimate, audience-focused room for seated shows or participatory workshops.

What guests say: The Theatre is a dedicated improv space that hosts lively shows and delivers an energetic, welcoming performance environment.
