Design: Theatre's interior is a compact black-box layout with black curtains and a low ceiling, presenting an unadorned stage area that keeps attention on the performance.
Features: A technical setup includes stage lighting and a PA system with speakers and provisions for playing your own music. A flat performance floor provides a clear dance area and allows flexible seating arrangements. Amenities include Wi‑Fi, air conditioning, step-free access and accessible toilets; the space is wheelchair accessible and subject to a noise restriction.

To ensure the safe and smooth running of all rehearsals, performances, and events, please review the following house rules before booking.
No smoking, naked flames, candles, pyrotechnics, confetti cannons, smoke effects, or any flammable items are permitted without prior written approval from The Playground Theatre.
The seating banks, lighting rig, fixtures, cables, and installed technical equipment are fixed and must not be moved, adjusted, or altered without permission from the Technical Manager. No changes may be made to the fabric of the building, including walls, floors, fittings, or installed equipment.
All electrical equipment brought into the venue must be safe, suitable for use, and PAT tested where required. Any scenic materials, props, costumes, or set pieces must comply with current fire safety regulations and be flame-retardant where appropriate.
Hirers are fully responsible for any damage caused to the building, furniture, fixtures, or equipment by cast, crew, contractors, or guests. Any external equipment brought into the space remains the hirer’s responsibility, including repair or replacement if it fails.
Food and drink may only be consumed in agreed areas such as dressing rooms or backstage spaces. All open food and drink must be removed at the end of each working day. The café and backstage office/greenroom are active working areas and must be respected as such.
Access times for get-in, rehearsals, performances, and get-out must be agreed in advance. Additional access time may incur extra charges. The venue is not always an exclusive hire, and management reserves the right to access the space in emergencies or for operational reasons.
Dressing rooms and theatre spaces must be left clean and fully vacated by the agreed time each day. All personal items, costumes, and equipment must be removed at the end of the hire period.
Parking is limited and must be arranged in advance.
Cancellation policy: Standard 30 day with Grace Period
