About this space

Just at the corner of Elgin Avenue and Lanark Road The Elgin is 50-yards from Maida Vale station and 10 minutes from Paddington. There’s been a pub on this site for decades and at The Elgin we are proud to carry on the tradition of providing the best food, drink and service the area has to offer.
Over the last few years The Elgin has become one of the area’s leading destinations for birthday parties, engagement parties, corporate dos and wonderful wedding receptions.

As you enter the venue and take the stairs to the private 1st floor bar you're greeted with a unique space packed full of character and local charm with exposed brick walls and ceiling-high bay windows. Although the room has a great feel to it there is still scope for you to add your own individual personality with extra decorative touches.
With space for 80 people seated or 100 standing this private room can host a range of different party types for all occasions.

If, however, you want something a bit bigger you could take over the whole venue and have space for 230 people standing. Whether it’s your company Christmas do, a summer party or the wedding of the year, you can choose to use the venue however works best for you. Split the bar into dining upstairs and dancing downstairs or just keep the party going with a late-night extension to 2am and a DJ of your choice.

If you’re having a seated meal then our 3-course feasting menu is the perfect way to enjoy a sociable meal where everybody gets a little of everything. Or if you prefer to keep it more casual then our sharing boards of hearty finger foods, including Spiced Crab Toasts, Cheeseburger Sliders & Mini Chocolate Brownies are all perfect for easy eating with no cutlery and we have a good selection of vegan and gluten free options too.

Whether you’re looking for a night of perfect G&Ts or large tanks of sharing cocktails next to a bathtub full of craft beers, we’d be happy to help you put the best options together.

We loved how easy they made everything seem, even when there were curveballs on the day. The food was unreal and our guests were all commenting on how good the food was, which was important to us. With guests able to spill out onto the street, the glass windows made it still feel like everyone was together whether they were inside or outside. It was a perfect venue for our wedding.

Couldn’t fault anything.

The Elgin hosted our wedding in September. We had a great experience from start to finish. Throughout the planning, the team, especially Cara and Caroline, were so accommodating and helpful. We enjoyed a lovely menu tasting ahead of the day and they accommodated all of our requests and completely captured what we wanted. On the day, the venue looked beautiful and the events team and staff were incredible, everything ran so smoothly and all of our guests had an amazing time! Can’t recommend them enough, thank you for all your help in making our wedding perfect!
