Poor communication from venue

Such a great venue and such a great room with really friendly staff!

The ONLY issue was that we had to keep the noise down because there was a family living above the pub, which is fair enough and they were so polite with telling us, I just wish we'd have known beforehand so we wouldn't have disturbed the family! But I would still absolutely book the room again, I can't recommend enough!

They confirmed my booking about a month before the actual date and said I just need to mention my name on the day when I arrive. When I got to the venue I was told that someone else had booked the venue, and the pub didn't have my booking written down on their record. I called them to see what was going on and couldn't get hold of them. So I was left without a venue for my event at my booked timeslot. Clearly there was no communication between them and the pub at all, even though they assured me my booking was secured.
