Creative, playful, and versatile, Moot is a unique social space that’s built to bring people together, from big celebrations to intimate events, inspiring performances and community gatherings. Better still, it provides you with exclusive use of a private venue, so you're free to be yourselves and do whatever you please... NO-ONE telling you to wrap it up, tone it down or wind it in, NO randoms wandering through your event, and NO awkward side-eying strangers in the bathrooms. Moot has a fabulous soft drinks bar (BYOB welcome!) and a range of free-to-play competitive socialising games, from ping pong and table football to basketball and retro arcades.
The main room features a stage, big screen, great sound system and lots of flexible space. We've hosted everything here from birthday parties to photoshoots, book launches to bar mitzvahs, team awaydays, creative workshops and company parties. The space can be broken into three rooms for break-out groups and working sessions, and the main room can be reshaped in all sorts of ways, from classes and working groups to large scale launch presentations, meetings and creative sessions. It's an unusual space. A space like no-other.
And three days a week we give this space over to workshops & events for local teenagers, with 'Moot Youth' and giving young people somewhere safe and inspiring to connect, IRL. So EVERY hire of this venue helps to fund the continuing access to a safe & inspiring space for a generation of young people.

Yes, bringing your own alcohol is allowed; the venue often hosts parties where guests bring their own alcohol.
The venue has a good sound system; it is not soundproof and is located above a busy restaurant, but noise has not been an issue.
Yes, the hire period covers access for setup and cleanup, and guests are usually asked to arrive about half an hour after the booking start to allow time to set up.
Yes, you can bring your own food and drink; the venue provides large ice baths for drinks and the hire includes use of games such as table football, table tennis, basketball and a classic arcade machine.
Cancellations 30 days in advance will receive a full refund.
Cancellations 30 days to 7 days in advance will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations for events starting within 7 days are non-refundable.
