About this space
Creative, playful & versatile, Moot is a unique social space that’s built to bring people together, from big celebrations to intimate events, inspiring performances and community gatherings. It provides you with exclusive use of a private venue, so you're free to do whatever you please... NO-ONE telling you to tone it down or wind it in, NO randoms wandering through your event, and NO awkward side-eying strangers in the bathrooms.
Moot is a flexible event space with a fabulous bar and a range of free-to-play games which is why we've hosted everything from birthday parties to photoshoots, book launches to bar mitzvahs, team awaydays to creative workshops & company parties.
And three days a week we give this space over to workshops & events for local teenagers, with 'Moot Youth' giving young people somewhere safe and inspiring to connect. So EVERY hire of this venue helps to fund the continuing access to a safe & inspiring space for a generation of young people.
Moot has a max capacity of 60 across three areas which can be separated by curtains or retained as a continuous flowing space:
1) The Bar Room. Featuring a 'bring-your-own' bar which means it's perfect for either alcoholic or alcohol-free events. We also have an extensive selection of soft-drinks which are available to buy, as well as free slushies & popcorn in our party packages.
2) The Games Room. Featuring table tennis, table football, retro arcade games and basketball machine, all set to unlimited freeplay.
3) The Red Room. A flexible event space that can be configured to suit requirements, featuring a stage, projector & sound system with mixer & microphones,
Moot is a versatile space which is also regularly used for (un)corporate hire: it can be divided into three rooms for break-out groups and working sessions, while the Red Room can be reshaped in all sorts of ways, from classes and working groups to large scale launch presentations, meetings and creative sessions.

We also offer £150/hr Plus Hire (maximum capacity of 60) which includes everything listed in Basic Hire above PLUS:

👍 use of our big screen & mics (project movies, sing karaoke, or just share your favourite photos)
👍 1 x Moot Host to help with set-up, support you from start to finish, and do all the cleaning up at the end
There is also the option to add additional hosts to support you for more complex events.

Well behaved dogs are welcome in the space.
No smoking in the building.
No children allowed behind the bar.
Damage to space will result in extra charge. If guests undertake their own cleaning (Basic Hire only) they must leave the venue as they found it - any requirement for extra cleaning will result in extra charge.
Cancellation policy: Standard 30 day with Grace Period
