The hall is spacious and we had all the equipment we needed for a wedding reception. The communication had been swift and professional in the lead up to the reception. Clare was very helpful when we were setting up on the day.
The staff had been very helpful up until the day of the event however we were met with rudeness and condescending talk when it came to clearing up at the end of the night. We stopped the event timely and had plenty of time and people to clean up and leave. But the staff member overlooking things spoke to everyone from my mother, husband and friends with extreme rudeness. It's as if they did us a favour by lending us the space and we were causing great inconvenience. At one point she started throwing water on the floor when people were still transporting heavy boxes outside, someone could have slipped and injured themselves. It was very disappointing to be treated this way after everything had gone smoothly. We followed all the instructions, when we were informed that we need to cover the stage before consuming food there, we put table covers down. So I do not understand the necessity to take such a tone at the end.

Yes, you would absolutely be able to bring your own caterer. Please note that the kitchen is fully electric and naked flames, including candles and chafing gel, or deep fat frying are not allowed. If you plan to set up a hot buffet in the hall, you may need to bring electric warmers to maintain the temperature of the hot food on the buffet display.
