Staff have to be the core of the success at the Fire Station. From Edyle the manager to the Chef in the kitchen. Everything was so professional.
The noise level. I appreciate it is a pub but for us to hear a speaker at the conference there needs to be some sound proof screening.

Party · 50 guests · February 2026 · The Fire Space
We hired out the Fire Station for a joint birthday event for ~ 50 people. The venue was perfect! A good mix of a lively atmosphere but not too loud where you can’t hear someone close by. The area we had booked was a great size, nicely cordoned off but still close enough that you felt like you were part of the main venue. Photo Booth was a great touch. Also the DJ coming on later in the evening was unexpected but a fantastic addition. The organisers were prompt with responding when arranging. We paid a small amount as a deposit to secure the venue, this was then returned to us as a bar tab during the evening with no issues. Overall a fantastic experience which made for an excellent birthday celebration - thank you!!

Pub · 30 guests · January 2026 · The Fire Space
We had an absolutely incredible night celebrating my partner’s 30th birthday! With a group of 30 people, we couldn’t have asked for better service. Everything was so well organised and we were looked after brilliantly from start to finish. Teo and Laura were outstanding hosts and made sure everything ran smoothly all night. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the DJ and photo booth were such a fun bonus. Having our own sectioned-off space away from the rest of the pub was perfect and made the night feel extra special. Every member of staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was an unforgettable night and exceeded all expectations. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this venue and would absolutely come back again. Thank you so much for such a brilliant celebration!
Nothing, it was a brilliant night.

Space was ready for us and clearly separated so we didn't have to worry about there being confusion with others. Drinks were ready and they were so fast at bringing more when we ordered.

About The Fire Station

The Fire Station is a Trusted Tagvenue Partner, validated by the Tagvenue team with a record of successful bookings on the platform.

The Fire Station is a gastropub inside a converted 1910 fire station that preserves period firefighting character.

Venue highlights: The Fire Station provides a front bar area and a larger rear dining room, which lets hosts run a drinks reception separately from a seated meal. In-house catering supplies a British menu of pub classics and grazing plates. Dietary needs are covered by extensive vegan and gluten‑free options, and the bar serves beer, wine, cocktails and spirits; the venue supports promoted ticketed events and offers outdoor seating for reception-style hires.

Best for: Private dining and celebration meals; after-work drinks receptions; small ticketed performances or pop-up events.

Location: Waterloo's transport hub makes arrival straightforward for guests. The surrounding theatre and restaurant scene provides options for pre- or post-event dining and entertainment.

What guests say: The building preserves original fire station features such as the tiled bar floor and hose-inspired fittings. The service is friendly and attentive, and the menu balances pub classics with small plates that suit sharing or plated formats.

  • Nicola T. rated it 4.7/5 stars
'Great food and very attentive, friendly staff. We had a fantastic afternoon.'
  • Joe rated it 4.7/5 stars
'Great venue, cool-looking and super close to Waterloo station (but you need the right exit!). People liked the food (I got pizzas and fries), and the drinks tokens system really worked quite nicely, without feeling cheap. Good music too, which I think the DJ actually adapted to our age group (late 20s / early 30s)'
